How It Started: A Passion for the Industry with Scott Kenyon, CEO of Würk

As part of our “How It Started” interview series, we had the pleasure of chatting with Scott Kenyon, CEO of Würk, a Colorado-based Human Capital Management company geared towards the cannabis industry. They streamline HR, payroll, 401k, retirement planning, timekeeping, and much more.

Thanks for joining us! What was it about cannabis that first piqued your interest, and when did that happen?

I have been a cannabis user off and on throughout my life and have realized the benefit of cannabis, especially the older I get. My interest went from a consumer and advocate to an interested angel investor. In November of 2012, when Colorado legalized the sale of marijuana, my wife and I actively invested in a few cannabis startups in Colorado and Nevada.

What was your earliest cannabis memory?

Freshman year at the University of Colorado. A dorm friend brought some cannabis back from California and it was such a great experience.
