DENVER | November 19, 2021 09:00 AM Eastern Standard Time | Würk, the first Human Capital Management (HCM) company for the cannabis industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Saneman to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Reporting to the CEO, Scott Kenyon, Saneman will be responsible for overseeing the company’s administrative and operational functions, and managing its product, tax, implementation, and partnerships teams.
Saneman joins Würk with more than 25 years of experience in HCM, payroll, and consulting. Prior to joining Würk, Saneman served as COO for Kelly Benefits Payroll, a regional payroll provider whose primary focus is providing benefits administration, broker and consulting services to serve businesses of all sizes. Saneman’s accomplishments include launching a new payroll division to integrate with benefit offerings, implementing new software and partnerships to enhance HR workflows, and breaking down departmental silos to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of her teams.
“I am very excited about my transition to serve the cannabis industry where I can use my background in product development to enhance and extend products to this underserved market,” said Saneman. “It is refreshing to be surrounded by such a talented and engaged leadership team that is passionate about the industry and positioned to make a huge impact.”
“With the entire country navigating a staffing shortage, we feel extremely grateful to have found someone with the skills and business acumen of Saneman who will be joining the company at a pivotal and exciting time as we accelerate the next phase of our growth plan,” said Scott Kenyon, CEO of Würk. “She possesses strong expertise in creating and enhancing business operations, and we look forward to tapping into her knowledge to further improve how we serve our clients and provide value to other stakeholders.”
